Nebula..

I'm confident the company will release news regarding the sand and gravel and/or construction side sometime soon. Until then, all we can do is search around and see what pieces might fit the puzzle.

Here's a few that might fit I think.

Ten projects already are complete, including preparation work on some of the dozen borrow pits from which contractors will extract 4 million cubic yards of dirt -- enough to fill a football field with a mile-high dirt pile.

A borrow pit is a term used in construction and civil engineering. It describes an area where material (usually soil, gravel or sand) has been dug for use at another location. The term is literal—meaning a pit from where material was borrowed; although without an implication of someday returning the material. Borrow pits can be found close to many major construction projects. For example, soil might be excavated to fill an embankment for a highway, clay might be excavated for use in brick-making, gravel to be used for making concrete, etc.

Sounds to me an awful lot like a sand and gravel pit.
Mining Division

Murphy Sand & Gravel (MS&G)in Pearl River, LA is an 820 acre operational mining site with enough raw materials (aggregate and sand product) to support an estimated 20+ years of continuous mining at profitable levels. Reserves estimated at $300,000,000.

This type of mined product supplies the concrete manufacturing and building materials industries and is also an integral component of the road and highway construction industry, supplying the latter with a steady stream of the base materials needed to build new roads and improve old ones. In an effort to increase its output capability, MS&G has added some new contract miners to fully develop this location.

Currently, MS&G sells into the local Southern Louisiana and Mississippi areas, but is expanding its sales regionally into the greater Southeastern area of the country as construction activity increases. Now and into the future, Murphy Sand & Gravel is and will be the cornerstone of the "Phoenix Family of Companies".

Phoenix management anticipates that the acquisition of the residential construction company will add over $2 million in revenue and be accretive to earnings in the current fiscal year alone. These estimates do not include revenue that could be realized from the post-disaster rebuilding effort in which CNN.com, subsidiary of Time Warner (NYSE:TWX), has reported that between 140,000 and 160,000 homes need to be leveled and rebuilt in and around New Orleans.

The company has also added additional human resources to pursue work through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and regional contractors that have been assigned work in the disaster relief.

CEO, Paul Alonzo, commented, "We continue to aggressively scale operations through strategic acquisitions, particularly within our construction division, in order to fulfill the immediate construction related needs within Louisiana and Mississippi. Additionally, we are pursuing all avenues available to deploy as much of our 100,000,000 tons of raw sand, gravel and soil as possible to use in the rebuilding of the disaster stricken areas."

And..one of our long-standing construction side business partners..
As everyone began trying to make sense of the catastrophe, BOH BROS. began mobilizing personnel and equipment to aid in the repairs to the breached levees. Before having a written contract with the Corps of Engineers, Boh ordered material and began assembling crews to aid in the disaster recovery. Boh successfully installed a sheet pile wall across the 17th Street Canal to stop the inflow of water into New Orleans from Lake Pontchartrain. We are currently working on numerous repair projects, including the I-10 "Twin Spans" over Lake Pontchartrain.

The state gave Boh Bros. Construction Co. until Jan. 14 to complete the westbound bridge, the second of three phases in the $35 million project.
