I see your point, and it just might be another selling point if the electronic ones can do more than the old mechanicals ones. And when I rethink this, I guess after all that pausing pinball in the middle of a play wouldn't be any different that calling time in the middle of basketball. Indeed, pausing in the middle of a play might be an extremely useful strategy that can help turn a game around to one's advantage.
