Thanks KC
Re the decline in Lovaza scrips . I know would think Vascepa is taking some of their market but I also think they are loosing out to DS alternatives at lower cost .
I received a note from ConsumerLab recently advising me as to how I could use highly concentrated DS alternatives to approximate Lovaza ...at lower cost .
They were responding to consumer requests from those prescribed Lovaza but had to pay full retail.

I'm currently taking Vascepa 4gms a day ..Kaiser won't cover it so I'm paying retail and using the coupon discount .
With the coupon , Vascepa costs me less then PLUSEPA used to cost thru Amazon ...thus absolutely no incentive to use Plusepa.

Amarin IMHO needs to maintain that advantage one way or another ...either wider Tier coverage or extend the coupon program.

IMHO most of use with lipid disorders are taking multiple drugs ---some covered some not . In my case Kaiser won't cover Crestor or Zetia so each cost me about $5 a day ...add to that Vascepa with coupons at $4.46 a day ...so I'm spending about $15 a day on meds.!
Thats $5,475 a year folks ...phew better sit down now .
