Registry Utility. I was thinking about purchasing a utility program specifically to insure registry integrity and used the following writeup to get some ideas.

http://www.techsupportalert.com/best_46_free_utilities.htm

Based on that writeup I purchased EasyCleaner. After running it and letting it repair what it found I then ran some free products out there. and as a result sent the following e-mail to EasyCleaner.

"After running EasyCleaner and deleting 2 items it found, I ran the Free version of Registry Mechanic and it said I had 187 problems. The I ran the Free version of Registry Fix and it said I had 124 problems. What exactly is this telling me?"

Here is the answer I received: "It could tell you that EasyCleaner takes it more on the safe side than focusing to get absolutely everything off risking your PC... EasyCleaner will be more effective after every release but always prioritizing the "easy" and "safe". Thanks. Toni Helenius."
