Market makers usually could care less the price of a stock because they wish to only make spreads.. True MM's that take positions are creatures of the past as all brolers route real orders to a central market maker like Nite,, Ect.. I trade at E-Trade but all my orders are sent to NITE to be displayed.. NITE has no economic interest in my trades except for a tranaction fee.. hank
