I'll jump in.

I agree with you 100%. Anyone who's been reading me, knows I go ballistic at the thought of what happened on 11 Sep 01. That being said, I think we've gone overboard in the compensation department for the victims families. I get especially disgusted at the broker types who were pulling in 6 figures plus... living in McMansions, but who did not have life insurance to ensure that their families could maintain their style of living.

They could just have easily died in a car crash that day. There would be no loosening of government purse strings for their loved ones if that were the case.

I have a very liberal girlfriend who is dying of cancer. She agrees with the above point. Her children (although they are almost on their own) are about to lose a mother. No one is going to hand them big bucks as a result.

I hope you stick around. We're just trying to have a little fun here... a bit of a refuge from RANTS. If you're ever in the mood for liberal abuse, there's plenty over there. Me... I think I'll hide here.
