I understood that, but wouldn't any rationale for clemency be predicated on the criminal having taken responsibility for their acts? If a killer hasn't done so, then how can one claim he is deserving of clemency? If the argument is one based on reform, then wouldn't the most basic reform being taking responsibility for what the criminal did that ended both their victims' lives and their own? That must be on criminals' minds quite a bit in jail, no? At least that's what it seems like from watching Oz...
And the question isn't whether he's guilty, that's clear from the evidence, the question is whether the evidence that was used to convict him was properly admitted.
