"There will be no AMRN in 2014. They either get bought, major partnership or are gone. They will be broke by year end so something has to happen. They have no ability to launch on Anchor assuming its approved."
This is only an opinion...and yes I know what the CEO implied earlier this year...The facts are the ANCHOR sNDA will not require a "launch", Vascepa has already been launched..They will change the label...How many new reps they are going to need, or going to hire is just another opinion...My best estimate for the cost of 300 reps they currently are using is in the $24-30mil/year for salaries.. Commissions will be based on sales...For 1000 reps no more than $100mil...by then AMRN's revenues could be high enough to cover that..
A lot depends on what happens in the next 6 months, how much revenue they are generating..The most important marketing now, are not drug reps, but the internet..Things are going to revolve around how fast the medical community begins to embrace the notion that these big diseases, particularly atherosclerosis and diabetes, are not metabolic diseases, but are inflammatory diseases.. IMHO this is going to happen quicker than anyone imagines...At that point AMRN revenues will be so high they woukld be fools to sell..
