From what I can tell, the C9/C10 states that you will find in Haswell-ULT were actually pull-ins from Skylake, so right off the bat we know that Skylake is really, really aggressive on the power management side of things. Further, since they are doing a double "tock" for GPU architecture (Gen8 for Broadwell, Gen9 for Skylake), the graphics performance should really be nice.

But the big rumor is that Skylake GPU and CPU become incredibly tightly integrated, very similar to the level of integration that AMD has been hyping up time and again for its own chips...if not moreso. Interestingly enough, the system architecture of SNB/IVB and apparently HSW looks much more elegant/integrated than what AMD does, so Skylake should really move things forward.
