Thanks for the links Bio - forwarded them on to my internist, who specializes in patients with Lyme disease + coinfections and heavy metal poisoning - he's not a PCP, not even close - most of his patients have occasional or permanent cognitive function impairments. I emailed him that new magnesium supplement info yesterday along with a PR from AMRN about inflammatory marker reductions and off label usage for that purpose. He's very big into trying off label or alternative approaches to treating his patients, as Western medicine is seriously lacking in helping folks with the conditions I mentioned above. His reply this morning:

i had not heard of Vasecpa need to look at dosage and quality of it vs. Lovaza which is another longer standing prescription fish oil

I wouldn't worry about him not being aware of V yet, he doesn't have the kind of practice that an AMRN rep would visit, and he's so frigging busy (3-4 month waits to get an appt. are routine) he has little spare time to keep up with general medicine news - I'm his unpaid "research assistant", keep him up to date on new drug/supplement developments with the potential to treat me and others with similar health problems via email.

I've actually never even seen a drug rep in their offices in the 7 yrs he's been treating me - he's very big into using natural dietary supplements/vitamins/minerals/herbs as substitutes for drugs whenever feasible. Last year he held a series of lectures open to the public, the topic of one of them was how chronic inflammation is the root cause of most evils, so after he does his DD I'm sure he start experimenting with V, perhaps on me - I see him 1st week of May.
