Since you're new to the state, you probably don't realize that the northern part of the state has leaned democratic and the southern part republican- hardly what you stated a "bright red state"
To imply that Kaine won because Bush visited and stumped for Kilgore is silly- even for you.
Kilgore ran a terrible campaign- if he had run a more conservative campaign and lost the stupid death penalty commercials, he would have done much better
