Excellent article - thanks. Rick Santorum (R-PA) is running for his pol life; the challenger for his Senate seat is the popular Bob Casey (D). Santorum has been a leading supporter of GWB's war policy, but was "not available" when GWB's appeared in PA on Vets Day.
The Republican candidate for gov in VA this Fall was also "not available" when GWB visited this BRIGHT RED state in late October; in a desperate move he did appear w/GWB two days before election day which served to remind the voters of their connection. Dem candidate Tim Kaine won easily - doing well in previously strong Rep counties in the northern part of this state.

The message is clear: Rep candidates who want to win in '06-'08 must move as quickly as possible away from GWB - a majority of the public has done so already.
