While serious money is the goal of many ventures, XDSL has not yet shown the potential of a GOOGLE.

GOOG is currently leading the race to the semantic web which promises to transform homo sapiens in traumatic ways -- to organize all information and make it accessible to everyone.

While XDSL is currently nursing infant nanotech, it would need to expand its vision way beyond magnetometers and batteries. And it would also need to attract a colossal battery of genius and the mega-capital to pursue that vision ahead of its resource rich competition.

GOOGLE has all that and more.
