How can the age of the universe be proven to be a relatively short period of time?? Our "scientific" estimates of the age of the universe are based on assumptions that certain things (the half life of carbon, the speed of light, etc.) are constant -- they have always been the same as they are now. What if that is not the case?? What if the universe and all that is in it was created in a mature state, just as Adam and Eve were? If a group of scientists had studied Adam just minutes after he was created, they would have been able to "scientifically" prove that he was "at least" in the 18-20 year old category.
