I will do that,

but using the usb3.0 external drive, with the copied INF files, installation fails.

perhaps because the usb3 driver's aren't there?
will go to the usb2.0 flash drive... as when the load drivers allowed me to search on the two installed drives the X boot area and the passport, it never did see the usb3.0 flash drive.

maybe I'm making this a lot harder than it's supposed to be.

starting over now, with usb2.0 flash drive.
