Certainly in the 7 inch category - especially the Nexus 7 and Kindle models. I'm sure that Apple makes some money from the iPad Mini but lower margins than the iPads.
I think that tablets in the 10-inch space can charge more as people expect more things like ports on them and the battery can be bigger providing higher-resolution displays.
But Google and Amazon may have set expectations for the 7 inch tablet marketplace at non-existent profit levels which has resulted in a relative lack of choice in this space.
I think that models running Windows will command a premium, even at the 7 or 8 inch level. We just need someone brave enough to make such a model.
