The 53% reduction in MACE was only seen in a small subset of JELIS patients TGs>150 and low HDL-C....

The combination of high Trigs and low HDL is thought to be a high risk group..In REDUCE-IT there must be very careful attention paid to the effects of EPA on the various subsets of Trigs, cholesterol and inflammatory markers...

PS..The results of JELIS were IMHO, very important, because EPA showed benefits in healthy patients...something that is hard to do...
