Shorting is not easy to do.
Some Canadian Brokers will not allow purchasing of OTC's and pinks. Like Caisses Desjardins du Québec. Shorting is not allowed on OTC's either.
If I could find a broker that allows shorting I am sure the capital required to short a US security would fall under Finra Rule 4210, and NYSE (rule 431(c)2).
