Apple becomes top mobile-phone maker in the U.S., Bloomberg reports
For the first time, Apple (AAPL) passed Samsung Electronics (SSNLF) to become the top mobile-phone maker in the U.S., reports Bloomberg. Apple sold 17.7 million mobile phones in the U.S. during Q4, a 38% increase from a year earlier, research firm Strategy Analytics said today. That gave it 34% of the market, while Samsung has a 32% market share. Total shipments grew 4% in the quarter to 52M phones
