goldpanner,

Barrick need not attend the Gold Show in Vancouver for two reasons. First, everyone knows them and they don't really need to be noticed - like we do. Second, Barrick shares are held predominantly institutionally, which is to say, the retail investor does not own Barrick in any great way. This show is primarily about retail investors, so it is not Barrick's forte. However, MSX needs the retail investor to come on board and take the same kind of risk we all did, otherwise there are no new buyers, meaning our share price will stagnate.

So, I think it would have been prudent to have a booth at the show. It is surprisingly inexpensive for the exposure. We have a ton of good stuff to say that would peak the curiosity of many a speculator and our share price would benefit in the short term, more importantly, we would begin to tell our story in Canada - Barrick's shouting theirs from the rooftops.

I've been on this topic for over a year but the company disagrees with me. It is their right, they run things, I do not. However, getting our story traction has not happened from news releases and finding financing is difficult for juniors, now more than ever, so getting out there at venues designed specifically for the purposes we need seems to be smart business.

Having said that, if company brass got to the show and gladhanded the right people, this is certainly a step in the right direction and one I applaud. They need to do much more of this.

Stories don't tell themselvers - storytellers tell stories!
