I know four or five people who complained to the SEC. I did so as well. That isn't exactly uncommon.

And no, the SEC does not simply take one person's word for it. If they feel what's been sent to them bears further looking into, they start their own investigation.

And they make very sure their evidence is solid before suspending. They know what suspensions do to stocks.
