All the replies to my post yesterday about the informant to the SEC that fed them the information and that informant being tied to the naked shorting will NEVER be discussed in an open forum by the SEC.
There are several things wrong with your thesis.
First of all, it was most certainly not one person who complained to the SEC about SRGE. It was quite a few.
Second, even if the SEC litigates and the DOJ prosecutes, very little money will be recovered. With luck, they may get enough to cover their own costs. There will be no funds paid to whistleblowers.
Third, the SEC won't talk about who sent in complaints, but if they do sue, that material will become part of discovery. I've never seen any defendant make use of it, though.
