If SRGE did not fund the money where did Etrade get the money for the Divvy?

Etrade would have funded it with its own money. Most cash dividends are declared by exchange-listed companies who can be counted on to cough up. Some brokerages pay them immediately, as a kind of courtesy to clients. That isn't a problem.

But when they're dealing with penny stocks, they should be more careful.
