Even if there are shorts, neither of you two appear to understand how the stock market works. Those certificates are rendered worthless the second they come out of street name.

Please do research into clearing stock. The rules were changed by Finra 2 years ago and if someone is dumb enough to pull certificates, its not the shorts that are hurt but the shareholders themselves.
