OT: I responded to at least four very political posts by GM with a single reply...the most egregious of which was that the NATO bombing campaign was "wussy".
Personally, I find arguing with people who live in metaphorical tunnels about as useful as arguing with the bricks used to build the tunnel. The ignore list is your friend.
That said, GMan is right (assuming he said that, I don't see his posts), the campaign was "wussy" by at least one definition: it went after civilians who couldn't hit back instead of going after the military, which could. Every f'n tank parked in Kosovo drove right back to Belgrade, where every f'n schoolyard and kindergarten had been blown to crap. In terms of sheer cowardice, the action in Kosovo ranks right up there with the "liberation" of Grenada.
There are precious few ABBers out there (justifiably) complaining about the Iraq situation who are also willing to take the Clinton administration to task for the unconcsionable killing of civilians in the Balkans. Why? Are Balkan civilians worth less than Iraqi cilivians if there are domestic political points to be scored?
