OT- 'zaga- give it up, man!
What I'm saying is; even if they find Libby guilty...
He's toast, and everyone knows it. The only question now is whether he drags the administration along in a long and embarrassing trial through next years midterms, or (more likely) makes a deal which may nail other administration figures.
they still won't know who leaked the name.
Fitzgerald already knows who leaked the name, and more-or-less everything else about this whole sorry case. Unfortunately for all of us Plame-junkies, Fitzgerald is an honorable guy who follows the rules and doesn't leak every little lurid detail like Starr did.
Novak started this whole thng because he was curious as to why Wilson of all people, would be sent on such a mission
Novak started this whole thing because he got a call from a top administration official that didn't like Wilson telling us about how intelligence had been ginned up to support a neocon-inspired war, and wanted to smear Wilson with the lie that his wife was responsible for arranging a "boondoggle".
Like the relief effort in Somalia...Either go in and get the job done whatever it takes or don't go in at all.
You do remember it was the elder Bush that got us into that particular mess?
We still have troops in Bosnia. ...Troops in Kosovo and Macedonia, too.
Along with dozens of other countries, as part of a remarkably effective peacekeeping mission in a previously explosive part of the world. As you would say, we "got the job done".
It was a wussy strategy to use high level bombing against the Serbs.
That's it, isn't it? We removed Milosevic and ended horrific ethnic bloodshed and regional instability without a single American casualty, but that's no good in Gonzaga Man's book because it was a "wussy strategy". You really prefer that thousands of American kids are killed and maimed in an endless and planless disaster, run by pseudo-macho leaders who had "other priorities" and ducked military service thirty-five years ago when it would have been their own ass on the line?
I can't believe you still defend this bunch of total f*ckups...
