That is when you focus on one subject, and do not look at the whole picture in terms of rights. There are Ten Amendments in the Bill of Rights. The first 8 are Individuals rights, and the last 2 are states rights. And they all need to be balanced accordingly.

Although a few questions do come to mind...

1. Who is they who should lose their liberty, and since there are different liberties...Which ones should they lose...

2. Is driving really a priveledge, and why is it a priveledge?

3. What is a Weapon of Mass destruction...Do Assault rifles fall in the same category as Nuclear Weapons, Depleted Uranium, or Sarin/Nerve Gas...Or Biological warfare...Threats that number casualties in the millions?
