carolinacoast, Silverstein has a huge investment in time and money in the emerald case. One of those witnesses in the hall is an archeologist. He has no horse in this race. He as well as the other witness know what perjury is and they know what the Court would do to them if they committed perjury.

I sat thru most of the Trial. The only two witnesses who testified falsely on the witness stand were Steve Elchlepp and Jay Miscovich. How do I know that??? Because I was in the Courtroom and heard them both say that NO ONE enhanced any of the emeralds and then they both came back on the witness stand and Steve admitted enhancing emeralds with paint thinner and Jay came back on the witness stand and admitted that his brother enhanced 2 bags of emeralds. Now no matter how you cut it, either when they testified that none of the emerlads were enhanced or their statments that they were enhanced. One of those statments is false in my opinion.

I get a kick out of the poster that says everything posted on here is false. Well, I find it hard to believe that statements posted on ihub about the Trial also appeared in the Key West newspaper and are part of the transcripts of the trial.

The Judge will make a decision and I doubt he will make it in the courtroom. My guess is some time next year. Do I think Jay will get the emeralds? Yes I do. Do I think there will be sanctions against Jay? Yes I do. Jay may even have his admiralty claim taken away. Who knows??? I know one thing. I don't think the Judge is going to be happy with anyone trying to intimidate any witness, but that's just my opinion.
