A word from The Graystone Company, Inc. on Facebook
November 29, 2012
"We have gotten a few questions about how things are progressing. Just want to give you guys our point of view. When we originally came up with the idea of creating a mining company everyone told us we could not get through the SEC in less than 9-12 months. We did it in less than 2 months (1/28/2011 to 3/28/2011). Then we were told that we could not get through FINRA and get a ticker symbol - we accomplished that as well. Then we were told we would never get through DTC - we accomplished that as well. Then when we identified Peru as where we wanted to mine we were told that it would be impossible to get a business visa - we got one in 2 weeks. Then we were told we could not acquire a mining site for less than $250,000 - we acquired our initial site for $55,000. Then we were told that we could not begin bulk sampling within 12 months - we did it in 4 months. Then we were told it would take 3 years and millions of dollars to get into production. We did in 18 months and for less than $700,000. We took this company public from scratch in 2011 - we did not do a reverse merger or purchase a shell. We have done everything ourselves from day one (including self-financing the initial couple hundred thousand dollars) and have accomplished everything that we were told could not be done. I'm sure the naysayers will come up with everything that we are doing wrong - interestingly enough none of which they have ever accomplished themselves. But we look at it like this - keep telling us what we cannot do or accomplish so we will know what we can do and accomplish.
Understand we are not going to go through every little step that the Company is doing as it progresses. No Company ever would and to expect that is ridiculous in our opinion. In fact we spend more time than any other Company we can think of engaging with the shareholders and at times it distracts from the overall business. So we welcome questions and we'll attempt to respond to them but understand we cannot get to every one of them. Also, we think the Company has demonstrated that it can accomplish things that no one else can do and going forward we will not engage in continued Monday morning quarterbacking because we know that we will do everything in our abilities to accomplish everything we said we would in as timely and cost effective manner as possible."
