carolinacoast, Well said. The Fisher's got sucked into this because of Jay and no one else. Jay contacted the Fisher's to sell ancient shipwreck emeralds in their store. Jay admitted in Court, under oath that he does not think the emeralds came from an old shipwreck.

The Fisher's rightly said ,they wanted to examine the emeralds to see if they actually came from an old shipwreck before they would sell emeralds as being from an old shipwreck, Jay said no.

Then the Fisher's heard that Jay apparently made statements to potential investors that the emeralds came from the Atocha according to Court Brief's. Based on JAY'S own statements the Fisher's decided to contact Jay's Admiralty Attorney to examine the emeralds. The Fisher's told Horan that if they examined the emeralds and they didn't appear to come from the Atocha, then they wouldn't enter the case.

So Blame Jay for the statements he made according to court briefs and for not allowing the Fisher's to examine the emeralds without going to court.

Jay had reports from his own experts before the 60 minutes episode that the emeralds were enhanced. Yet Jay and Steve did not come forward until questioned on the witness stand under oath that the emeralds were enhanced. Even in Court and under oath both Steve and Jay stated that no one enhanced any emeralds and then when questioned further they both admitted they were enhanced. I'm only an observer in court, but to me that shows that both Jay and Steve tried to hide the fact that any of the emeralds were enhanced by them. Why hide the fact, if you didn't think you did anything wrong ????

Many things don't add up in this case to other professinal treasure hunters on the internet. I do get a kick out of the spin already being put out by Jay's side, that the Judge is Old, the Judge is on the Fisher's side,etc.... It's almost like they are preparing orrv investors for the worst case scenario of the Judge's decision in advance. If they really thought they had a good case they would state it in my opinion.

Just my personal opinion
