Your position in marketing says a lot.

I am not in favor of building a story stock here. That may lead to a run up in the stock price and multiple sharp corrections for each story published. It creates volatility when the earnings can't support the higher stock price.

My answer may have been a bit strong against your suggestion, but it was not ad hominem at all. I just have a strong dislike of marketing expenses for non-business reasons.

Of course, I am a software developer - not a marketing professional.
