1) Jim: "I could make a bad deal today."
2) I speculate that CXO might have wanted to make a quick deal as opposed to a good deal in light of the 8% payout for them---ie take the money and run. Jim agrees and mentions the ZT thing.
MY COMMENT: If you're selling one widget and get snookered out of a hundred dollars, so what? If you're selling millions of them and get snookered out of a hundred dollars each it's serious money. Again, the focus is on LONG TERM benefit to the shareholder.
