Well at least you had good times. I've been a fan of the mets since about he early 90's. They started stinking when I became a fan, and they got good for a couple of years under Piazza, and then got beat by the Braves and Yankees. I loved those mets teams, but the Yankees and Braves stood in their way. The Piazaa got old, the team stunk up until 2006, had one great year was the best team in the NL lost to and 83 win cardinals team. Then two monumental collaspes.

Now if it isn't injuries derail them. Now the owner's finances are. Pretty soon if they keep this up tey will have a payroll lower then most mid market teams, a couple of years ago the payroll was around 150 million, now it around 90 million. This is a NY team, that charges NY prices, and has NY TV revenues. The team is going to bad for year, because I don't think they will add payroll significantly. And Heck I don't even think the GM is smart enough to make the trades that need to be made. The mets have made the playoffs 3/24 years. and 1/12, so I think being a mets fans (Felt like saying mutt for some reason) has been pretty difficult. As one can see I'm really down on them, because I think this off season is going to be horrendous.
As for changing teams and becoming a braves or Yankees fan. That will never happen. If the mets have a horrific offseason. Like I expect. And they exceed my expectations which would be pretty difficult. They would have to start doing stupid thing like Trading away niese, Davis, Harvey, and Wheeler, to get that kind of response. I will be a fan of no team. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
