If Nokia settles with a 3G rate attached, is it not true that Samsung's 2G rate will be fixed with the same as Nokia's 2G rate at that point in time? Stated differently, IDCC will not settle Nokia without a 3G royalty rate; therefore, I would expect the Samsung Arbitration to be rescheduled to a later time because Samsung's 2G royalty rate would be fixed and (per IDCC's point of view) Samsung is not entitled to Nokia's 3G rate since Samsung never signed a 3G contract with Nokia. Seems to me to be the best of all possible outcomes for IDCC. I do admit that the assumption included in my first sentence regarding Nokia is a BIG IF! LOL
