Chicago's not alone as a Teacher's Union dominated failed educational system. Just front and center right now. California has gone from one of the best statewide educational systems to one of the worst in the last 30 years or so. Thanks to Democrats, Unions and the pervasive feely good way of doing things in La La Land.
Right after I made my post about Muslim violence against non-Muslims, I realized I had made a mistke. I said the Phillipine Muslims had wagged war against Christians since a few hundred years after Muhmmud died. That was wrong. Christianity didn't come to the Phillipines until the Spanish Conquistadores came in the 16th century. Islam came to Mindanao in the 14th century. But Muslims have engaged in war against Christians there for hundreds of years.
I looked up the sprad of Islam. Good old PBS. Their story is that Islam spread largely through trade & commerce! Yea, right. Tell that to Medival southern Europe. They also said that around 30% of the slaves that came to the United States were Muslims.
More typical PBS. In their minds the United States owned slavery. Never mind the hundrds of thousands of slaves that were taken to the Carribean Islands and South America. Especially Brazil. It's part of the "Blame America" mentality of the Left.
