Good question. I don't recall because I was holding during that period. I could dig up the answer later this evening but others that were in that stock on this board will likely answer before I can get to it.

"A company that has undergone a reverse stock split often gets the letter "D" attached to the end of its ticker symbol. This letter is used to designate a company that is undergoing a stock split of some sort (most often a reverse split), or some form of corporate reorganization. This letter is generally attached to the end of the ticker for approximately 20 trading days before it's removed."

Where did you see they are doing a name change? The stock I referenced did a name change because they were also uplisting to the AMEX. The other stocks I have been through with a "D" have continued with the same stock symbol and company name after the "D" was removed.
