I don't take everything a politician say as whole cloth. We don't know to what extent retirement plans are been plundered to pay for student loans.

What we do know is that the affected retirees did nothing to deserve their plans being robbed from, to pay for student loans that often got out of control due to individual's stupidity.

Helping out with student loans appeals to constituancy that Obama and the Dems are cultivating. As for retirees, the attitude seems to be "What they don't know won't hurt US!
