Sorry, please explain in what way, this is comparable to the 'discovery of the PC' for example, as more than one poster has stated, and to which my reply is directed.

Still of limited use.
The players would be a couple inches tall at best to show them
all on the field.

Remember, its *not* a window into a scene, as people assume,
its a box-shaped cut-out of the scene.

Might be okay for watching the relative position of players on a field, but very disadvantageous for watching natural interaction of actors up close.

Don't get me wrong, watching a cube full of tiny players run around would be great (Id buy one), but in terms of main-stream adoption, not nearly as useful as traditional perspective images.
