It is your right (and mine) to disagree with Christian or any other religious doctrine, but who are we to dictate to them that they should no longer accept the tenets of their religion, one of these tenets is quite clear, homosexuality is abomination.

I can find much worse things to disagree on. For instance, current Catholic Doctrine (Despite Aquinas pronouncements to the contrary) holds that ensoulement or the beginning of life, occurs at the moment of conception. I as a Jew, hold that Genesis dictates that ensoulement starts with the first independent breath a newborn takes. If the "lifers" win and federalize their religious tenet, they will put at least some other religions (such as the Jewish one) in an untenable position to violate its own tenet.
