CLB—There's a significant salary differential which the service companies don't seem to be inclined to fight. I suspect this will hurt companies like CLB more than tool developers.

Can you elaborate on this? Why will the compensation differential hurt CLB disproportionally relative to the other service companies, IYO.

p.s. Longstanding CLB employees have done very, very well with their stock options, so this needs to be considered in any comparison of the compensation packages.
