As you know by now the president went there today. At our baseball tournament this weekend we're having a fund raiser to help the Colorado residents and fire fighters who have been affected by the fire. One of our coaches has a personal connection with the area.
Hello High Point Pony! It is time for us to come together and show support for the Firefighters, volunteers and displaced residents in Colorado. I know this is 1,600 miles away, but with the loss of homes, pristine nature, animals, and possible relocation of around 40,000 families, we can help! We are VERY fortunate to have such a strong community in High Point and I encourage you to help those in Colorado if at all possible, as they are in dire need.
Beginning tonight at 5pm and continuing through 9pm Saturday, we are accepting donations at the Johnson St. Sports Complex Concession Stand. All donations will be coordinated at the local CCL offices Sunday and packed and shipped to the Care And Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado (give.careandshare.org/) Monday morning.
These are the MOST NEEDED ITEMS AT THIS TIME, but anything will help:
BRAND NEW Long, white 100% cotton SOCKS, baby powder & eye drops for the firefighters!
-Personal Care products -NEW towels and washcloths -lotion -deodorant -shavers -shaving crème -tooth paste -diapers -hand sanitizer
Here’s where the fires are, via a Satellite picture. My favorite place in the world is being burnt down. I would go to Rampart Range Reservoir for camping and hiking. What a tragedy.
