(Edited)Churak, Its true what BobZ mentioned in a public post he made
on the Q & A board a few months ago that while he can take
credit for fast & small code, he sometimes knows the credit
for a feature he makes is being a good listener to others when
they describe a situation needing to be addressed.
A good example would be that you could have included just
plain old fashion common sense ideas and insight into what
you described as an area reading posts that needs improvements.
No need to address any coding or technical issues, just focus
onto the image you see as a user and suggest more than that
something needs to be done.
For example, you did do exactually that with your comment of
"... some sort of icon to indicate a post has been edited?"
and everyone here could add to what you started,
for example,
"... some sort of icon to indicate a post has...
... its Edit Window still open
as that would put up a flag to the reader that a change is possible,
and based on the important the reader could KEEP it and later
review it again if one wanted to check for changes. Also, it would
do as you noted, alert one that if one replies to a post that has
the Edit Window open, that "all bets are off" for relavance :o)
(extra) I left out this text on porpoise to note the time factor,
as for sure 99% of posts read are not really that important
to have us signaled that they changed after we read them,
especially on the Jailhouse board :o) as you did note that
simple corretion of missdelled words don't give bang 4 bucks
on a reread, so we no want to be notified of all posts changed
after we read them, even if BobZ could implemint it, so its that
notification while reading a post still in the Edit Window that
can be used at our each selection for important & replying to.

How about some sort of icon to indicate a post has been edited?
Oftentimes, I will read a post only to find out it was changed...
