The triple damages is just a New York statute isn't it? I guess I didn't pay enough attention to that aspect. It is at this point a "test case" and if worse came to worse, the other providers Verizon, AT&T, etc., would be in deep trouble themselves as well. Analysts don't seem to be concerned:
"And Citigroup raised its EPS estimates on shares of Sprint Nextel (S) through 2012 as liquidity concerns are easing and growth prospects are improving." I guess we see how it pans out.
