His thought is that 10 other states will file suit as well, thus making it 3 billion. However Sprint did just file a motion last week to have the suit dismissed:

The interesting part to me is:

The Sprint filing cites a part of the New York law that says the sales tax applies to sales “except interstate and international telephony.”

If the above is true, i don't see how NY could ask for tax revenue on interstate calls.
