Say TTT, whats a good Deck sealer that would bring out the natural grain, and maybe darken it bit ??
Last fall I went to home Depot and bought a 5 gal bucked of Behr for Deck/Siding and Fence. I thought the picture on the bucket was what it was going to be. I opened the small cap, poured some out to brush on. It was white Milky looking. When it dried, the wood still looks as dull as before I did it. Took it back to Home Depot. They told me it was just a Base, and I needed to add a color to it, so I choose a Red wood looking tone. Get it home, and went to pour some out, but it then looked like PAINT... Took it back to Home Depot again, they told me what I bought was Deck Paint, and because I added a color to it, they could not take it back.
However after thinking this over again right now. I think when we go to get our new grill today, I will speak to a Manager. The staff should have advised me, or anyone buying these products, and tell the customer, " do you realize your are buying a Paint Base, or Stain Base. " Had they done that, I would have chosen the right product. Our deck is 18 x 48, and I don't want to paint it. I want something I can maybe spray on with one of those 2 gal types of thing you fill with Bug spray, and then maybe take a broom to help it get better forced into the wood...
I put it up for sale on Craigs List for 75.00, paid 129 or 139.00 for it... No Calls yet...
