Perhaps not....there is probably a patent this particular design and if you are buying the product from the holder of the patent, you just pay a license fee. If you are buying the product from someone else (a knock off of the patent) SFIO will get, at minimum, a Cease and Desist order to stop selling the device from the patent holder.
That scenario could get very nasty for RFMK. Clarity from management to it's stockholders would be a wise move. Of course, it is possible that management really doesn't give a squat about it's stockholders.
A concept that "the end justifies the means" may be met with bad karma. ;-)
