I spoke with Andrew around 1400 this afternoon. Called the listed IR number and he answered on the first ring. Below are a couple things we discussed.
- I asked about some details on the Waterheater App. This app should communicate with your existing home wireless for control vs having a cell phone SIM card (similar to some security systems). I suggested they approach a company like Vivint in the future to incorporate the control system into the new home automation systems controlling security, heating/ac, appliances, ect.
- Andrew confirmed the the Multi-cavity unit is complete and they are working on the final details of 3rd party testing. He is still saying that June should be the month for WDRP....we'll see.
- Transfer Agent - The new TA (Direct Transfer) now has all the previous paperwork and electronic records they needed. The TA is now working with DTC. No projected timeline working with a gov't agency but they are making progress.
- AMF Issue - Good discussion. This issue is real immaterial to WDRP but I'm sure anyone else can call Andrew to discuss.
- Magnetrons - The Chinese company Robert has been working with is a major player in magnetron. Andrew didnt give their specific name but did mention they make all the magnetrons for Sanyo Microwaves (havent had time to dig into that on my DD). They are prepared to start mass production of the WDRP specific components when necessary.
Just as a disclaimer - I have no "special" access with WDRP or Andrew. The last time I spoke with him was about 6 months ago and I did not attend the show and tell.
My take: WDRP is getting close to having a technology that will get picked up by a manufacturing partner. Based on their previous performance I dont think they are savoy enough to run manufacture and distro themselves. I see them licensing this technology to someone more capable or being acquired by a bigger player once they prove this. Still a very slow and poor communicating company but not a scam. There is no end game for this being a scam no matter how much some keep pushing that scenario.
Take it or leave it - or better yet call the company yourself.
