I have no idea if the new MacBook hinges will be made from LQMT. And honestly, Apple's use of this technology in the near future doesn't matter to me that much. They have the rights to the current IP (through February of this year). They can make their own parts out of it and call it "Really Strong Metal®." They can make their own alloy and not pay Materion at all. They can make their own machines and not pay Engel anything. My only hope (as far as Apple is concerned) is that somewhere down the road, Liquidmetal will come up with new IP that Apple cannot resist (and didn't come up with on their own already).
