OT-N.O situation.

Ok, since it is a slow day for the markets....

Several things are different for this hurricane than others:

1) Flooding. By this time during previous hurricanes, flooding has not been an issue (Look at Andrew and Hugo).

2) Evacuations. I am going to take an educated guess here and say that FEMAs plan was to move everybody (who could not get out of town) into the Dome or the convection center. After the storm passed, aid and relief could be brought in. Going back to point one, you cant move the ppl out or aid in if you cant drive on the roads.

3) Looting. While looting has always been a problem in these situations, it is worse here. Why is that???????? If the authority has to deal with looting instead of the needs of the ppl, you have a problem.

And finally, I am not sure any other president would have done a better or worse job than the current one is doing. (I know, that is going to set some of you off...sorry about that).
