OT...Doodleboodle,

I have heard the "this is going to be good for the economy because of all the rebuilding to be done" argument a lot on the news. If this is a true proposition, why not start wreaking neighborhoods so we can rebuild them? Instead of waiting for the next hurricane we can just use explosives on evacuated areas. This is a case of redistribution of wealth. In my opinion, new wealth like energy is never created, it just changes form. In the case of wealth, it switches hands from one to another. Insurance companies will suffer and lumber companies, construction companies will reap the benefits. The spin masters on cnbc who in my opinion are geared towards making the bulls feel better always come up with a way to try and turn roses out of sh**. I agree with your assessment of Bush. Government can't protect you against terrorists if it can't even get you some food and water to you in 4 freaking days. We don't need protection from terrorists as much as we need protection from bad government. We are truly an empire in decline. I just heard Bush talking about protecting us from terrorists while he's in the Gulf area. What a joke we have for a President. IMPEACHMENT time.
